Widely considered the last effective Mughal emperor, his reign lasted for 49 years from 1658 until his death in 1707. ... The downfall of the Mughal Empire began near the end of his reign due to his political and religious intolerance.

As per the history goes, Bahadur Shah Zafar II is considered to be the last of Mughal emperor who is almost a forgotten hero as compared to his ancestors.

However, he took his last breathe in 1862 in Rangoon which is now famous as Yangon. He used to live ins a shabby wooden house with only a few relatives.
