LIBERALS WANTED A NATION WHICH TOLERATED ALL RELIGIONS.
THEY ALSO OPPOSED THE UNCONTROLLED POWER OF DYNASTIC RULERS.
THEY WANTED TO SAFEGUARD THE RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS AGAINST GOVT.
THEY WANTED A REPRESENTATIVE ELECTED PARLIAMENTARY GOVT. AND JUDICIARY THAT WAS INDEPENTED OF RULERS & OFFICIALS.
THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE IN UNIVERSAL ADULT FRANCHISE.
THEY FELT MEN OF PROPERTY SHOULD HAVE THE VOTE.
THEY DIDNOT WANT WOMEN TO VOTE.
