Akbar distributed the military responsibilities among a group of people called mansabdars . a mansabdar was assigned a rank in the hierarchy of mughat adminstrative structure and he has to maintain a no. of horsemen according to his rank . the lowest in mansabdari system was five and highest being five thousand.
