Narrator’s journey to Mount Kailash was full of obstacles. By the time he reached Darchen, he was left alone. Tsetan and Daniel had to leave him. As he reached Darchen he found he had come a little earlier than the pilgrimage season. He decided to wait as he could not do the Kora alone on the precarious pilgrimage trail.

After a few days, he met Norbu, a Tibetan from Beijing. He had also come to do the Kora. Both of them struck friendship and decided to do the Kora together.

In the story the Silk Road we get to see that the author of the story actually chronicles a number of hardships and challenges that he had faced throughout the region of the Silk Road.

It is we the readers who actually find it quite fascinating to look at the natural world that remains quite untamed.

The vast geography is breathtaking to say the least
