The author made a very elaborate plan to get Ranga married to Ratna.
First of all, he cleverly orchestrated their meeting at his own house.
Secondly, he took his friend, the Shastri into his confidence and instructed him to do and say certain things to Ranga.
The plan clicked. Within no time both Ranga and Ratna were married.
