the first leg of the Voyage is up Cape Town, South Africa ,fresh supplies ,and sunshine in preparation for a return to Northern Pacific waters. They had been preparing for the past 16 years spending all their leisure time honing their seafaring skills in British water in lieu of their round the world Voyage .
