How did the narrator react on seeing the horse and mourad?​

The narrator first felt surpurised and delightful on seeing his cousin Mourad with the white horse as he longs to ride a white horse. But he was soon realised that they were very poor and couldn't afford to buy a horse and on the other hand, it couldn,t be stolen by his cousin as they were well known for their honesty.
