Answer:
Naxalites are a group of far-left redical communists, supportive of Maoist political sentiment and ideology. Their origin can be traced to the splitting in 1967 of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) leading to the formation of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist-Leninist).
Naxal violence has resulted in the deaths of every 10,000 civilians and displaced 12 Million peoples in the number of killings in Naxalism- hit states.
Additionally more than 200 of India's 640 districts are indirectly under Naxal control. "MISMANAGEMENT OF FOREST" is one of the main reason for the spread of Naxalism. It started with the British Government. Many reasons have led to the growth of Naxalism such as local exploitation, not useful government policies, dissatisfied local population, extreme poverty, continuous arms smuggling and even brain washing of the local poor peoples against the Government of India.
