The non Brahmin movement was a difficult movement for the orthodox Hindus as their beliefs and traditions were being challenged.

The orthodox Hindus were completely against the idea of non Brahmins to study or join any other public places as they considered the lower castes to be untouchable.

The orthodox Hindus didn’t accept the idea of this movement whole heartily. They were against this movement and the idea on non Brahmins to become equal with them.
