after the defeating of ottamen empire in work war 1 there was rumour that a harsh peace treaty was going to be imposed on the Ottoman emperor ...who was the spiritual head (khalifa) of the islamic world...after the first world war muslims of india decided to force britain to change their Turkish policy ...this leads to the formation of khilFat committee with mahatma gandhi..and leads to the nationalist movement in the middle East (india)
