  • Their copper-plate records including Kaakudi, Tandantottam, and Udayendiram were written in Sanskrit and Tamil languages respectively. Tamil and Sanskrit predominantly came into power during the reign of MahendraVarmam 1.
  • Pallavas ruled parts of Southern India from the year 275 CE to 97 CE. Kanchipuram served as their long-time capital. They established the famous shore temple currently located at Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
