The people of Bastar launched a revolt against the British government is the right answer.

Bastar is a place located in the in the Southernmost part of Chhattisgarh. The people of Bastar launched a revolt against the British government as the government banned the shifting cultivation, hunting and gathering and introduced the reserved forest acts, which affected the lives of the people of this area.

In response to this revolt, the British government sent troops of soldiers to crush the rebellion. Though the tribal leaders made attempt to negotiate the British soldiers besieged their camps and fired on them. The British soldiers marched through villages beating and punishing those who took part in the rebellion.
