In the Hyderabad state under the Nizam rule there are many forms of subordinate cheiftaincies like jagirdars, samasthanamdars and inamdar which rule like independent chief. The collected revenue from the land under them, I am give a small part to the Nizam as 'peshkash'and keep the remaining with them. They were also responsible for the administration of their areas.
