Bhakti saints are rightly said as Caste Reformers because they try to lift the caste barriers fro the Indian society by focussing on the worship of their god , devotion, and meditation.

Nationalist reformers - Rajaji, Bharathiyar, Mahatma Gandhi tried to focus on the independence, as the cause he tried to unite Hindu and Muslims with the event of Khilafat movement because they know that caste stratification was an impediment in forming a mass campaign and hence managed to eliminate it.

Various schools such as Brahmo Samaj, Arya Samaj started by reformers Raja Ram Mohan Roy also tried to uplift society from the barriers of casteism in India.
