2- lack of better generels and coordinating among sepoys

3- non participation of many rulers due to precaution taken by british

4- help recieved by british from sindhia and nizam and other native rulers

The revolt of 1857 failed because the Indian military techniques were outdated. The rebel leader lacked experience and coordination, and they failed to consclalate their grains. Morever, the rebel got almost no support from the british stronghold of bengal. Bombay and Madras, where the british took all possible precaution to keep rebellious people in check.
