Hello Mate..!!

Answer : It doesn't happen every night but every 6 hours, or 12 hours for the full rise and fall, approximately. It is closer to 12 hours and 25 minutes. It changes based upon specific location, time of year and phase of the moon. The last one is critical, because believe it or not, the changes in the sea level, called tides, are caused by the gravity of the moon, called gravitational pull. The moon exerts a pull on the earth, just as the earth exerts a pull on the moon. They help each other stay in position, and the result of the pull is noticed with sea water, and there is enough of it to have a noticeable difference. There is insufficient lake water to see a difference. In places like the Bay of Fundy the tidal effect is enormous!
