the sewing machine was very important during the last hundred years (during a time that was known as the belle epoque ).during this time, women were given more freedoms and abilities to do things as well. women's lives improved by the sewing machine because of a big advantage of time that was given to them. it allowed for women to produce clothes more than twice as fast as they were previously able to. because of the sewing machine, more things became possible to make that was impossible before due to the lack of time and ability. garments became cheaper because of the drastic decrease of time that it took to make them. we still experience a lot of these positive changes today as well.
