1) fear of mass conversions-•the teaching of the Christian doctrine was made compulsory in the schools set up by the Christian missionaries
• the officials openly preached christian doctrine in temples and mosques
•the study of bible was introduced in government school
•prisoners in jails were instructed in Christianity
2)the laws that interfered with the religious customs of that people-•general service enlistment act of 1856
•religious disabilities act ,1850
•widow remarriage act,1856
3)introduction of railway and telegraphs
4)fear of English education
5)general indignities hurled upon Indians.
