How did the Spanish and French interests in the new world differ?

I need information on both not just one

France was interested in colonizing and in securing the benefits of the fur trade. That meant establishing trading posts and trading centers. The Spaniards were only interested in discovering gold that had already been mined, seizing it and shipping it back to Spain. They were not interested in prospecting, establishing mines or concentrators - only the seizing the end product that someone else had produced.
