The day when the grandmother died everything seemed to mourn at her death. The sparrows whom the grandmother used to feed also joined the mourning. They came in thousands and didn't make any sound of chirruping. They neither touched the crumbs of the bread which were thrown to them. When the body was set off for the cremation, they silently flew away.
