Electricity greatly helped the farmers of Palampur because electricity helped in developing good irrigation system . Earlier, farmers used tube wells for irrigating their fields but due to the introduction of electricity , farmers started using hand pumps , canal irrigation etc . Also , various machines like threshers etc also helped the farmers by saving their time as these machines didn't wanted hands for doing work ....
