Explanation:

When he was in Standard fourth,

He read half year in 3rd standard and then promoted to class 4th, in fourth class the medium became English and he felt uncomfortable

Sanskrit and Geometry appeared hard to him, however when he reached to 13th Postulate of Euclid he found that geometry is very easy , but Sanskrit was a very big problem. There was nothing to memorize in Geometry but in Sanskrit every thing was based on memory.

Also his SANSKRIT teacher was very strict, opposite of Which Farsi teacher was very loose and loved by the children. There was a competition between the Farsi and Sanskrit class.

His Farsi friend invited him to attend the Farsi class and Gandhiji did so. When his Sanskrit teacher came to know that Gandhi is seating in Farsi class he became sad and talked to Gandhi ji.He said that:—

First of all think that whose son you are. Won't you learn your religion's language. In want to teach a quality Sanskrit to the students and believe me it will be beneficial in future.

Ghandhi ji has thanked his Krishna Shankar teacher. In his book because now he can understand the Sanskrit books only because of him.
