How did the sumerians add a leap year

Leap years comes because rath takes 365 days and 6 hours to complete round around the sun...and these six years after 4 years become 24 hours qhich means 1 day...and leap year has one extra day because these 6 hours are added in 4 years..and after 4 years become one day and then earth takes 366 days to rotate around the sun .
