The name" India " was derived from the river "Indus" , the valleys around which were the home of the early settlers. The aryan worshippers referred the river Indus as Sindhu .The Persian invaders convert it into Hindu. The name" Hindustan" combines the Sindhu and Hindu and thus refers to the lands of Hindu.
