Answer:

Legends differ in their account of the manner of its coming to Troy. According to one of them, Pallas gave it as a dowry to Chryse, the bride of Dardanus, and he brought it to Dardania, whence Ilus carried it to Troy; according to another, Zeus caused it to fall down to Ilus (q.v.) from heaven.

Answer:

The Trojans got surrounded by the Greek Army and thus were left trapped inside their city of walls for about ten years. As one day they moved outside their city and they found none outside to escalate invasion upon them; only a strange large wooden horse thinking it as gift from their diety whom they brought it in and began to celebrate. However, the hidden greek soldiers rushed out of the horse when the exhausted Trojans had fallen all asleep. This is how the Trojans fall for the the greek ploy.
