Ferrous metallurgy led to production of carbon steel.

When carbon steel became popular, it became easier to produce weapons and wheels in large quantities.

Mass production of weapons like swords, arrows etc increased war expenditure.

Invention of the iron wheel led to the use of bullock carts and horse driven carts for travel.

The Iron Age was a phase in human records which was accompanied by the Bronze and Stone Ages.

Throughout the Iron Age, people of Asia, Europe, and parts of Savannas started manufacturing tools and weaponry from iron and steel. Iron tools were comparatively powerful than bronze tools.

One of the most prominent attractions for the military revolution was the invention and utilization of the iron. Iron weapons were burned and beaten into form rather than cast, making them harder, less fragile, and sustainable that bronze weaponry.

During the Iron Age carts obtained rising interest as a mode of transportation, like roads and particularly passages which were created in higher numbers. The system in which these paths were constructed was a further extension of earlier traditions which is only possible with the help of the iron.
