How the villagers differ in the ideas of a good forest;
They approved of shifting cultivation in forests.They therefore felt that the forest could be reused again & again by adopting these methods.
They practised burning of the forests at regular intervals to getfresh & fertile soil.
They practised mixed crop production& not crops from one plot.
They did not believe in plantation crops.
A good forest should be able to provide food,fooder& shelter.
