Helen's father heard of an eminent oculist in Baltimore, who had been successful in many cases that had seemed hopeless. Her parents took her to Baltimore to see if something could be done for her eyes. they reached Baltimore but Dr. Chisholm could do nothing, he advides her fther to condult Dr. Alexander Graham Bell who gave them information about deaf and blind children. Dr. Bell advices Helen's father to write to Mr Anagnos, director of Perkins Institution in Boston. I a few weeks a kind letter from Mr Anagos came with the assurance that the teacher had been found. This is how Helen started getting Education even after being deaf and Blind.
