I grew up partly in the age without internet. In fact, the internet was just starting to become popular after I graduated high school (AOL was the big thing). Public libraries at that time were my greatest resource, where you could look up whatever interested you and read books, magazines, newspapers and journals about whatever topic you wanted to know. A library was my first choice for any research or to look up facts. I remember using microfiche to read old newspaper articles and looked up statistics in atlases and other books and journals.
