the thief won the heart of anil by accepting the task anil offered like cooking food, shopping groceries and general household items, doing other household work. then anil checked his cooking skills which turned out pretty terrible, so he taught him to cook, to calculate and to write. the thief did the work honestly and during times, he also stole one ruppee from the total amount of money that anil gave but anil wasn't bothered for it. and so they slowly descended into a relation of trust.
