how did toto travelled by train? what was ticket collector reaction? ​

Toto was taken to Dehradun by train in a big black canvas kit-bag with some straw at the bottom. it was not possible for toto to escape when the bag was closed.but while grandfather was showing ticket to his ticket collector , Toto suddenly poked his head out of the bag and gave the ticket collector wide grin that frightened and annoyed him .He thought animal was dog.
