There was little trade between India and Europe in the Middle Ages - and it was indirect - the rise of Islam meaning that the direct sea connection via the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean being rather difficult for Christian Europeans (to put the matter mildly).
There was some important trade in the early middle ages between India and Scandinavia (via what is now Russia) with steel to be made into some famous Viking swords coming from India, but the rise of the nomad tribes on the steppe largely ended this trade. Crucible steel was not seen in Europe again for centuries.

Indian kings does not allowed the foreigners for import n export in India.
so they r eager to come in India n hence they find a sea route to India as they r not allowed to come in India from the northern part,so they they comes from the seashore from the western part of India. Hence the rulers of Western part had allowed them to import trade in India.
