USA was Producing wheat on a very large scale that at a point of time wheat was very cheap thus there was enough material to make bread so bread was produced on a large scale

USA produced too much wheat grain at a time.
And the conditions which helped USA to become that were:
(i) Increasing population of US.
(ii) Presence of much more fertile land, Westernization and clearing of forest land.
(iii) Demand of food during World War 1.
(iv) Development in technology.
(v) Increases prices of grains at that time in market encouraged farmers to grow more and more.
And all this conditions helped USA to increase it's production therefore making it bread basket of world.
