As the peace talks began to be make headway during 1970s, women gave up fighting and started to be seen as workers.
They worked in factories, agricultural cooperatives, production units.

Vietnamese women participated quite well during the war.
They worked as guards, caretakers of the wounded, village petroling guards,
information passing persons (communications), underground shelter builders etc.
They had been very active and worked also as military recruiters too.

Women moved out of the houses and helped fight the war.
Women took care of the household, encouraged men in the family to fight war, and also they worked in industry/production factories, cultivation and agricultural sectors.
