How did wanda win the hearts of her classmates at the end of the story?
Answers
Wanda was a polish girl who was always teased by the other girls because of her name, the place she came from, and for the faded blue dress she wore everyday to school...
Peggy and Maddie with all the other girls would everyday tease her asking the same question...
"How many dresses u said u had lining up in Ur closet?"
"A hundred" Wanda would say...
After questioning her about the number of dresses and shoes she had...they would let her go....
Everyday they would do the same...until one day they come to know that Wanda petronski had left the school....
But all her classmates were left surprised when they saw dazzling colours and brilliant lavish designs of hundred dresses, all drawn on great sheets of wrapping paper....
These the hundred dresses drawn by Wanda for the drawing and Coloring contest....
Wanda was the winner for the girls' medal....all her drawings were different and beautiful and in the opinion of the judges, any one of the drawings is worthy of winning the prize...
This made the whole of room thirteen burst into applause and even the boys were glad to have a chance to stamp on the floor, put their fingers in the mouths and whistle, though they were not interested in dresses..
Wanda through her exquisite designs of beautiful hundred dresses was able to win the hearts of her classmates at the end of the story...
Hope it helps...

Wanda was a Polish girl in an all American school. She had an unfamiliar name and different looks because of which she was constantly teased by her classmates.
Peggy, Maddie and the other girls used to make fun of her dresses. Wanda used to tell them that she had a hundred dresses and sixty pairs of shoes even though she wore the same faded blue cotton dress everyday. Fed up with her teasing, she left the school and moved to a big city with her family.
Before leaving she had taken part in an art competition in the school. She had submitted about a hundred drawings of designs of dresses. They were so beautiful that every student of her class was amazed. Later, she gifted all her drawings to her classmates inspite of their teasings.
Because of her acts her classmates not only realised
their mistakes but were also impressed by her talents. They were filled with love and confidence for Wanda. In this way, Wanda succeeded in winning the love and confidence of her classmates at the end of the story
