in old regime, women were considered as passive citizens. they were forced to marry at a certain age and were forced to look after their families. they must give up all their dreams. women of 3rd estate were not usually educated. women from nobility, rich sections of 3rd estate and queens were allowed to study sometimes. but girls cannot take any decisions on their own.

1. Most of women are worked as seamstress or laundresses sold flower, vegetables at the market or were employed as demestic servants in the houses of prosperous people. 2.Most women did not have access to education or job training. Only daughter of nobles or wealthier members of third estate could study in convent after which their families arrange a marriage for them. 3.Working women had also to care for their families i.e; cook fetch water nd look after their children. 4.thier wags were lower than men. 5.In order to dicuss and voice thier interest women started their own political clubs and newspaper. About 60 women's clubs came up in french cities..   Hope it helps u dear...
