How did women suffer in France during the old regime?

the poor women in France used to work a lot in home and do small jobs where as the women of the rich families were not allowed to do marriage to the people of their own choice and women were not given the right to vote

This made them to realise that pressurizing the government could provide new laws for improving their livelihood.
