During the Second World War,the halt of train at the Rameswaram station was suspended so his cousin Samsuddin took help from Abdul Kalam for catching the newspaper bundles which would be thrown out from the moving train and with this Abdul Kalam earned his first time in his life and he would also hear about the second World War from Jalaluddin and later he came to know about it from the newspaper named DINAMANI.
