Let the numbers be a and b respectively .

Then, Sum= a+b

Difference=a-b

So, Product of the two= (a+b)(a-b) = a^2 -b^2

Therefore, TO GET THE PRODUCT OF SUM AND DIFFERENT OF TWO TERM WE HAVE TAKE OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SQUARE OF THE RESPECTED NUMBERS.
