Answer:

Baby animals must know how to stay alive. The most important things every baby needs to know is how to find food and how to avoid predators. Some baby animals know these things by instinct, and others stay with their mothers until they can survive on their own.

Answer:

The answer is  They have similar but not identical features.

Animal offspring are similar to their parents because they have many of the same or similar features. They may have the same coloring, eye colors, patterns, but just be a smaller version. They inherit their traits and appearance from their parents, so there is some resemblance.

Explanation:

On Earth, there are many different kinds of animals. That means there are many different kinds of baby animals! Even though we typically think of newborns as small and helpless, this is not the case for all animals. Some animals are enormous even when they are born. When babies are born, they can sometimes live on their own without the assistance of their parents. • Mammals are warm-blooded animals that have hair or fur and feed their young with milk. Mammals give birth to live babies. meaning that their babies are born from the mother’s body instead of hatching from an egg. However, there are two animals that lay eggs but are still considered mammals! They are echidnas and platypuses.
  • Marsupials such as kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and opossums are mammals, too! When baby marsupials are born, they are very tiny and not as well developed as other mammal babies. They live in a fur-lined pouch on the outside of their mother’s belly where they nurse (drink milk) and stay safe and warm until they are big enough to come out. Even after the babies can come out of their mother’s pouch, they will still ride around on her back while they grow and learn how to survive on their own. Marsupial babies are called joeys.
  • Reptiles are cold-blooded, have backbones, scaled skin, and claws on their feet. Baby reptiles hatch from eggs. Only a few snakes and lizards give birth to live babies, but the majority lay eggs. Reptiles are born looking like miniature versions of their parents and are on their own almost immediately after hatching. Their parents do not stay to care for them because they are not required.
  • Amphibians are similar to reptiles, but they live in water for part of their lives and on land for part of their lives. They have moist, slimy skin instead of scales. All amphibians lay eggs and babies look very different from their parents when they first hatch.
  • Fish are cold-blooded, have backbones, and lay eggs, just like reptiles and amphibians. Fish’s bodies are covered in scales. They do not have any arms or legs, so they use fins to swim. Fish have gills instead of lungs to help them breathe in water.
  • Birds, like mammals, have warm-blooded skeletons and backbones. Bird wings even have bones that are very similar to human arm bones. Birds, unlike mammals, are covered in feathers rather than fur or hair and hatch from eggs. Mother birds construct nests in which to lay their eggs, then carefully sit on the eggs to keep them warm while the baby birds within grow and develop.
  • Insects lack backbones, as well as any bones at all! Instead, they have exoskeletons that shape and protect their bodies. Insects have three sections to their bodies, six legs, two antennae, and two eyes. Many insects have wings as well. Insects develop from eggs. Some baby insects resemble their parents and will shed their skin as they grow larger. Others undergo metamorphosis and appear and behave very differently than their adult parents when they first hatch.
