To prepare semipermeable membrane by using egg membrane.

To perform these activities following materials are required:-

1. Three beaker, 2 egg membrane, sugar, water , thread , measuring jar, disposable syringe, cloth and table spoon.

2. take the egg that are stoked in the dilute HCl.

3. wash the egg under tap water and wipe them with cloth.

4. Now remove the internal contain present in the egg. membranes carefully by making a pencil size hole in them. and wash membrane at fresh water.

5. now take one egg membrane and fill it with 10 ml of saturated sugar solution by using syringe.

6. next tie the mouth of the membrane with help of a thread.

7. now take a Bekar containing 100 ml of tap water and dip the membrane into it.

8. leave it aside for one night.

9. next take the second membrane and fill it with 10 ml of tap water with the help or syringe and ite its mouth with he help of thread.

10. take another bekar containing 100 ml of saturated sugar solution. and placed the second membrane inside this bekar.

Semipermeable membrane can be prepared in the laboratory from egg membrane.

Two eggs soaked in dilute HCl solution are needed.

After washing them thoroughly and wiping them, a pencil sized hole should be made in the eggs using a syringe so that the contents can be taken out.

This gives us the needed egg membrane.
