No taxation without representation was launched when the people of America stopped voting for the government then they gave a statement that there will be no taxation without the representation in order to encourage people to vote.
And said that people will not be allowed to pay the taxes until they vote and represent their government.

  • British established 13 colonies in America.

  • Most of these colonies were occupied by people from England who had settled in America to cultivate land , run small work shops and conduct trade.

  • The British parliament assumed powers to make laws for the American state but the people of those states did not vote for the parliament.

  • The laws passed were always favoured English traders.

  • The American colonies therefore raised the slogan 'No taxation without representation'.
