Former Indian prime minister Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee died on 16 August 2018 at the age of 93.

He was being treated for age-related illnesses in Delhi's AIIMS hospital.

Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee was one of the founding members of the Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which currently governs India.
