What will happen when all the coal and petroleum is depleted from earth? Are we prepared for it?
We are already moving towards solar energy, wind energy etc. But, we still depend on the coal and petroleum, more than anything else. Coal and petroleum still run all the industries, almost all the vehicles, and the electricity generating plants. Therefore, we would only be able to save us from the situation of facing no-energy times is possible only if these minerals would end after, say 100 years. But, it's going to happen sooner, so I don't think we are that advanced to not be hit by the 'extinction' of these minerals.
hope it helps...
