Acid + metal carbonate= acid carbonate+co2+h20
Eg.
HCL+Caco3=cacl2+H20+co2
Identification for test of gas
Take a test tube and add HCL and caco3 the reaction will took place and connect the another test tube containing limewater with pipe.you will see co2 will pass through test tube and will turn limewater milky.
