Acids reacts with Base to form salts and water and the process is called neutralisation in actually take example of HCl and NaoH they both exchange their electrons and form NaCl.

Acid-Base Reactions. When an acidand a base are placed together, theyreact to neutralize the acid and baseproperties, producing a salt. The H(+) cation of the acid combines with the OH(-) anion of the base to form water. The compound formed by the cation of the base and the anion of the acid is called a salt.
