how do advantages of exploiting natural resources with short term aim differ from the advantages of managing our resources with a long term perspective? explain with the help of example.

Short term aim will get benefit to present generation.

But long term aim will meet the needs of Future Generation and also ensure the sufficient nature are left for future generation.

The present generation would benefit greatly by the short term exploitation but the needs of the future generations in the long term aim can't be achieved. Eg: The petrol reserves would be present only for another 40 years if we continue using them in alarming rates. Therefore we need to manage resources in a long term perspective so that the resources can meet the needs of the present generation and also ensure sufficient and good quality natural resource for the future.
