In intense heat in hot desert the animals like camels have hump to store water and fat which help them to survive in that condition. Also they have long paddy legs to walk fast and prevents them from the hot sand.

In intense cold animals like polar bear and penguin have a thik layer of fat caller Blubber below thier skin. Penguin also have flipper like wings and webbed feet to help them swim.

For plants,

In intense heat plant like cactus have small spike instead of leaves which help them to prevent water loss due to transportation. They also have roots close to the surface so that the plant can quickly absorb even a few drop of water.

In intense cold plants like pine have conical shape which helps the snow to slid off easily. They are tall to grab as much as sunlight posible.
