how do aquatic plants live in the polar regions and don't freeze​

Answer:

underneath the frozen upper layer , the water remains in it's liquid form and does not freeze. Also, oxygen is trapped beneath the layer of ice . Fish and other aquatic animals live comfortably in frozen lakes and ponds.
