Archaeologists have deeply studied and excavated the Harappan Civilization.
They've found clay spindles in the ruins of the civilization which proves that clothes were spun and worn by the people who belonged to that civilization

Answer:
Archaeologists knew that cloth was used in the Harappan civilisation because actual pieces of
cloth were found attached to the lid of a silver vase and some copper objects at Mohenjodaro. They have also found spindle whorls, made of terracotta and faience which were used to spin thread.
